Flash Cure Units Power Auto-Rotation Upgrade

BETHLEHEM, PAAirFlash™ and RedFlash™ infrared flash cure models are now equipped with a receptacle that allows the user to plug a 3 ft (914 mm) power cord for an optional AutoFlash™ head rotation unit into the rear of the flash head, eliminating the need for separate wiring to a wall outlet, it was announced by Mark Vasilantone, president of Vastex International.

"The average screen print shop has many power cords underfoot, so having one less cord running across the floor is a benefit," says Vasilantone.

Both flash cure models also come as standard with removable cord sets that can be fitted with USA or international plug types A through H, compatible with 220/230/240V systems worldwide.

"Whereas flash cure units were previously hard-wired to order according to the plug type of the user's country, Vastex can now inventory 240V units in stock for rapid shipment along with a separate user-specified power cord," he explains.

Also standard on AirFlash and RedFlash units are digital controls that offer adjustment of repeatable heater temperature from zero to 100%, diagnostic indicator lights for simplified monitoring, and high-capacity relays for longevity.

RedFlash models are offered in 18 in. square (46 x 46 cm) and 18 x 24 in. (46 x 61 cm) sizes, and are equipped with a fan that cools the housing surface to the touch, and forms an air curtain at the perimeter for uniform edge-to-edge flashing.

AirFlash models are offered in the same two sizes, and feature a blower and filtered intake that can distribute clean air uniformly across delicate fabrics, or be diverted to cool the outer skin when flashing regular fabrics.

Both Vastex flash cure models feature 360° head rotation, an adjustable-height heavy-duty stand with casters, head leveling adjustment, heat shield and side handles for operator safety. All are also CE compliant and come with a three-year warranty on the entire unit plus an industry-leading 15-year warranty on the heater.

New flash cure unit receptacle accepts 120V or 240V plugs of removable power input cords, and power output cords for optional AutoFlash™ head rotation units.

Options include the aforementioned AutoFlash head rotation unit which swings the head of the flash cure unit into place above the pallet with the
touch of a foot pedal for a user-adjustable dwell time, and a rotary table that allows the flash cure unit to double as a low-cost dryer.
