BETHLEHEM, PA — A new three-chamber, 46,800 watt ERVP-VI-24 conveyor dryer from Vastex International cures up to 900 DTF-printed images/hr, up to 900 images/hr screen printed with water-based ink or discharge, and up to 2,700 images/hr screen-printed with plastisol ink, while exhausting off-gases from the shop environment, it was announced by Mark Vasilantone, president.

Filtered make-up air is drawn through the top-center of each heating chamber, and through its double-wall top and sides, serving to cool the outer skin and chamber edges for operator safety.

Preheated make-up air flows into the heat chamber, replacing the exhausted air being drawn out along each side of the belt, while preventing an inrush of air from the infeed and exit of the dryer that would otherwise disturb lighter materials such as DTF-printed films.

Unlike other multi-purpose dryers, the unit satisfies the unique requirements of DTF shops by condensing glycol off-gases as liquid condensate in a removable vessel, and exhausting any remaining vapor from the shop environment.

Operator controls allow fine tuning of air volume entering the chamber to accommodate the weight of materials being cured.

The modular dryer is a three-chamber expansion of the company's single-chamber ERVP-VI-24 model that cures up to 300 DTF-printed images/hr, up to 300 images/hr screen printed with water-based ink or discharge, and up to 900 images/hr screen-printed with plastisol ink.

"The modularity of ERVP dryers permits customers to purchase only what they need for current requirements, and when needs increase to expand the unit by adding heating chambers and lengthening the conveyor belt, allowing belt speeds (capacity) to be doubled or tripled without buying a new dryer," says Vasilantone.
