Vastex Upgrades Dri-Vault Screen Drying Cabinet

The Vastex Dri-Vault Screen Drying Cabinet, VDC 2434-8, which held eight screens, has been upgraded to hold 10 screens and will not increase in price, according to president Mark Vasilantone. The upgraded model, which will be designated as VDC 2434-10, ensures that screens dry in a controlled environment, free of dust and lint. It holds screens measuring 24 by 34 inches (60.96 cm by 86.36 cm).

Using a breaker switch, a centrifugal type blower and an industrial-grade stainless steel finned heater, the cabinet dries screens as quickly, consistently,

and cleanly as possible. The filtered air intake prevents dust and dirt from getting in. The main cabinet is pressurized, this type of airflow system keeps screens safe from contaminants even if a leak or damage to the door seal occurs.

The unit’s shelves are uniquely angled to make it easy to slide screens in and out but making it impossible for a screen’s image to touch a shelf. The shelves also are removable so they can be positioned to suit the screen printers application or easily removed for cleaning. The heavy-duty double wall is light tight, and sealed door has a

sturdy mechanical latch. Electrical requirements are a 15-amp grounded outlet, 1250 watts, and 120 VAC/12 amp. For shops needing to maximize space, the Dri-Vault makes an ideal base for the Exposit exposing unit.

The new 10-screen Dri-Vault Screen Drying Cabinet comes with a three-year limited warranty. Available as options are stainless steel shelves, heavy-duty locking casters, and 240 VAC/50 Hz. A 15-amp Nema 5-15P plug is standard but international styles are available upon request.
