Drop-Down Casters Lower Screen Printing Presses

ALLENTOWN, PA — New Drop-Down Casters for V-2000 Screen Printing Presses enable operators to print at a proper height while providing in-shop mobility, according to Mark Vasilantone, president of Vastex International.

The swivel-locking casters position presses 3 inches (76 mm) lower than conventional casters, or only .75 inches (19 mm) above stationary, floor-standing presses.

"Mobile presses raised 3.75 inches (95 mm) above the floor on conventional casters cause ergonomic difficulties for press operators who are less than 5 ft 9 inches (1753 mm) tall, adversely affecting roughly half of all male operators and most female operators," says Vasilantone.

Rated at 500 lbs (227 kg) capacity each, the high strength caster assemblies are of welded construction, and can be installed on each leg of V-2000 Heavy Duty Screen Printing Presses using one bolt.
