Entry Level LED Exposing Unit Added To Vastex Line
"The E-200 is our latest in quality, affordable, space-saving equipment engineered for smaller shops and start-ups upgrading from a fluorescent exposing unit," he says.
It accommodates screens up to 21 x 24 inches (53.3 x 70 cm) O.D. having image areas up to 15 x 18 inches (38.1 x 45.7 cm).
The LED (light emitting diode) light pack produces fine detail, including halftones up to 85 lines per inch (33 lines per cm), and exposes emulsions 10 to 15 times faster than comparable fluorescent exposing fluorescent
exposing units. In addition it consumes significantly less electricity than metal halide lamps of equivalent surface area, and can last over 50,000 hours, significantly reducing operating and maintenance costs.
It also starts instantly, provides uniform lighting intensity cycle-to-cycle, remains cool during operation, and lacks potentially dangerous high-voltage power supplies and inefficient shutters.
Standard features include a powerful vacuum hold down with rubber neoprene blanket for tight screen-to-film contact, fully-automatic operation for consistent exposures, shatter-resistant glass and 120-volt or 240-volt power supply. CE certified, the unit is offered with optional EU and UK cordsets.
The Vastex LED light pack is also offered separately as a kit to retrofit existing fluorescent exposing units of most makes and models.
Also manufactured by the company are E-2331 LED Exposing Units for screens up to 23 x 31 in. (56 x 78.7 cm) with images up to 17 x 33 in. (43 x 83.3 cm), and E-4731 LED Exposing Units for screens up to 47 x 31 in. (119.4 x 78.7 cm) with images up to 44 x 33 in. (111.8 x 83.3 cm).
